The process that translates ideas into reality is a tricky one: development requires careful planning and flawless execution but the time constraints are always tight.

One of the most difficult tasks is to move forward an aging code while keeping the current features unaltered to avoid disrupting existing customers' workflow.

On the other side there's the task of creating something that nobody else has ever done before or inventing a new and better way of doing things.

In the past ten years I have been working with C/C++ and C# for the purpose of interfacing with hardware prototypes and/or post-processing the acquired data and when it comes to less performance demanding tasks I prefer to use Tcl/Tk or Python.
